Hello everyone,

We don’t know if you know, but Discord is a revelation for gamers. This writer didn’t know this himself, until he got curious about the Discord communities for Overwatch and Street Fighter V in r/Overwatch and New Challenger. That’s when he realized that Game Witness – a mostly-Nintendo community filled with gaming veterans – needed it in our lives.

Through the magic of Discord we can easily keep in touch with one another, read and chat about the latest news, and most importantly, play games together while using Discord’s built-in voice chat channels. It’s all laid out intuitively.

Currently we play mostly Nintendo Switch games: Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8, ARMS, and Rocket League are in heavy rotation. Mario Tennis Aces and Smash Bros Switch loom in the near future. We try to get the whole community together every Tuesday night at 8 PM CST, but there are people playing games every day of the week. Just ask around for games and you’re sure to get a response.

We are also running a Nindie Game Club, where the community agrees on a smaller, cheaper single player game to play each month, and a multiplayer game every three months. Some examples are Mighty Gunvolt Burst and Nine Parchments. At the end of each month we join a podcast where we talk about the game we played.
